X-COM: Alliance was supposed to be a tactical squad-managed shooter set in the X-COM universe. The game was announced in 1998 and promised to be released a year later, in 1999. But in the end, the game was postponed several times, at some point it was transferred to another development team, and in 2002 it was officially canceled.
In 2011, the beta version of the game was leaked to the Internet. The beta contains 5 completed levels and playable beta versions of other levels.
