On the tower of a huge gloomy lair, a wicked witch named Gruntilda is interrogating a cauldron to see who is the most beautiful of the witches. The cauldron before he says that the most beautiful is just Gruntilda, but then corrects himself and says that the most beautiful is un’orsetta named Tooty, who lives in Spiral Mountain with his brother Banjo and a bird named Kazooie. Then the witch is furious, so he takes a flying broom and goes to Spiral Mountain to kidnap Tooty. Simultaneously orsetta is chatting with a mole named Bottles, outside his house, where his brother is sleeping. At one point, the witch arrives and kidnaps Tooty, Banjo but continues to sleep, oblivious. After waking up to discover Bottles, the only eyewitness to the kidnapping of Tooty, what happened ….
