Originally released by Atari in 1983, I, Robot was the first commercial video game to feature real-time, flat-shaded 3D polygon graphics and player-controlled camera movement. The player controls a rebellious robot who must destroy the all-seeing “Big Brother” by changing red platforms to blue. Today, a modern remake has been announced by Llamasoft, the studio of legendary developer Jeff Minter, promising enhanced visuals while preserving the original’s innovative gameplay.
