COMIX ZONE

Back in the 90s, my trusty 486 DX4 running at 100 MHz was already starting to feel outdated as the Pentiums took over. Around that time, SEGA joined forces with Microsoft to bring some of its titles to the PC. Among them was Comix Zone, an action game that immediately caught my eye through the glowing reviews in gaming magazines.

I never got the chance to play it then—my machine simply couldn’t handle it well enough for a smooth experience—so I told myself I’d try it someday. That “someday” finally came yesterday.

Revisiting it after all these years was truly special. Its unique comic-book style—where you literally fight your way from one panel to the next, advancing the story while taking down enemies with punches and kicks—makes it a lighthearted yet exciting action game, full of variety from stage to stage.

Today, I’m the one with gray hair, but deep down my spirit remains as young as ever.
