1991 was an unforgettable year for sci-fi video games, thanks to the release of Another World! I was just 8 years old, and my old 386 DX running at 40 MHz allowed me to witness one of the most stunning game introductions ever. The polygonal graphics, dark and desaturated colors created a powerful visual impact right from the first few seconds. Just a moment—a laboratory, a lightning strike—and suddenly, I was teleported to another world!
I’ve always loved science fiction, and being 9 years old when this game came out felt like being in the right place at the right time in the story of life. I’m still grateful to Éric Chahi (Programmer, Designer) for the incredible story and atmosphere. One day, I hope to finally discover what happens after the ending of this masterpiece.
