Overview
The 1987 arcade game developed by Taito Corporation offers players an engaging combination of action and strategy. Players are required to control a trampoline at the bottom of the screen to bounce two small animals, a pig and a monkey, into the air. The primary objective is to pop colorful balloons that appear, allowing players to advance through the levels.
Gameplay
Players use a paddle in tandem with the trampoline to keep the animals airborne. The animals must contact the balloons to pop them, but players must be cautious; if the animals fall and miss the trampoline, they lose a life. As players progress, the levels increase in difficulty with more numerous and faster-moving balloons to pop.
Multiplayer Option
The game provides a cooperative multiplayer option, where two players can control different paddles, enhancing the cooperative aspect of the gameplay. This mode significantly enriches the experience and requires players to coordinate their actions for greater success.
Reception and Legacy
While the game was not as impactful as some other titles from Taito, it still holds a special place for arcade enthusiasts. The engaging simplicity and cooperative gameplay made it a fun diversion. Though it may not have achieved blockbuster status, it remains a charming example of late 1980s arcade design.
